Weryat Terms of Use
1. Agreement
By creating a Weryat account or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you joined through an early-access program, the agreement for that program also applies, and it governs where the two differ.
2. Who May Use Weryat
You must be at least 18 to create an account and start a Circle. A member under 18 must be added by a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for that member's participation.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details, for keeping your sign-in credentials private, and for everything done through your account. Tell us at weryatbro@gmail.com if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else.
4. Acceptable Use
Do not use Weryat to track anyone who does not know about it and has not authorized it, unless you are their parent or legal guardian.
Do not use Weryat for stalking, harassment, intimidation, domestic abuse, unlawful surveillance, discrimination, or any criminal purpose.
Do not attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service or another person's account.
Do not share download links or invite codes with people who are not authorized to have them.
5. Circles and Invitations
A Circle owner controls who is invited and who is removed. Joining a Circle means the other members of that Circle can see your location while you are sharing it. You may stop sharing at any time, and you may ask the Circle owner to remove you from a Circle.
6. Weryat Is Not an Emergency Service
Weryat does not replace 911, emergency responders, law enforcement, medical services, or talking to the person directly. Location can be delayed, missing, or wrong for reasons outside our control, including GPS conditions, device settings, battery restrictions, and network coverage. Do not rely on Weryat as your only means of knowing whether someone is safe.
7. Service Availability and Changes
Weryat may be changed, interrupted, or discontinued in whole or in part. Features may be added, altered, or removed as the service develops.
8. Suspension and Termination
Weryat may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms, misuse of the service, or risk to other users. You may stop using Weryat at any time, and may have your account deleted by contacting weryatbro@gmail.com.
9. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
Weryat is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Weryat is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from delayed, missing, or inaccurate location information.
Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, in which case they apply only as far as the law allows.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Washington State, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
11. Changes to These Terms
If these terms change materially, the effective date and version above change and you may be asked to accept the updated terms before continuing to use Weryat.
